Will this work on all my knives?
Yes. The three guided angles cover everything from delicate paring knives to heavy chef's knives and serrated edges. Pick the angle, pull through, done.
Do I need any skill to use this?
None. The angles are fixed and guided there's no freehand technique to learn or get wrong. If you can pull a knife through a slot, you can sharpen it properly.
Will it remove too much metal from my blade?
No. The diamond-coated wheels are designed to restore the edge, not grind it down. A few passes is all most knives need you're refining the edge, not reshaping the blade.
How is this different from a cheap pull-through sharpener?
Most budget sharpeners use a single angle and rough ceramic or steel wheels that chew up the edge over time. This one offers four sharpening stages across three precision angles, so you go from dull to polished in one pass instead of guessing.
Will it scratch or damage my knife?
No. The wheels are calibrated to the angle of the blade, not the surface they sharpen the edge without marking the rest of the blade.
